How to Play: What a way to end your round. This hole will test even the most skilled golfer. There is a meandering stream running along the left side for the first 300 yards, and then it crosses the fairway. There is out of bounds along the entire right side of the hole. Your tee shot is all about placement. Very few people can reach the green in two shots, so you might as well hit your straightest club off the tee. You want to be on the right side of the fairway so that the trees overhanging the left side aren't in your line of flight. If you hit a good tee shot, you will want to beware of the two ponds to the left. There are also two fairway bunkers to the right. To the left of the green is a beach bunker. This is a sand trap connected to the pond. There is out of bounds if you go over the green. The putting surface is severely sloped. You will want to leave your approach shot short of the hole so you have an uphill putt for birdie. If you escape this #1 handicap hole with a par, you should be proud of yourself. |
