How to Play: It all starts off with this Par 4 featuring two ponds that will capture your brand new balls. If you are a long hitter, you may be able to take the shortcut over the pond. Others who can't hit it quite as far will have to play it down the fairway to the right. You will be punished if you hook your tee shot or go through the fairway into the pond. From the corner to the green there is an elevation change of about 25 feet, so you cannot see the putting surface. When the pin is on the front of the green, it is very difficult to take dead aim. Many people don't use enough club and end up in the bunker. The area surrounding the green is bowl-shaped, so sometimes a hooked approach shot will funnel down towards the green. A par on this hole is an excellent way to start your round. |
